Three directors will be getting together to present a tri-segmented anthology film under a single theme. The new movie which is named as 'Thundenek' is directed by three top film directors in Sri Lankan including Prasanna Vithanage, Asoka Handagama and Vimukthi Jayasundara. The film is first-of-its-kind in Sri Lankan cinema. 

Ashoka Handagama also act as a fictionalized version of himself alongside with Jaffna based film director Keisarajan Nimalazhan in the segment by Prasanna Vithanage. Most of the actors in the film are new-comers. 

Veteran film director Titus Thotawatte was the first to present a tri-segmented anthology film named 'Thewatha' in Sri Lankan cinema though it was a collective work by a single director.
