In appreciation of the invaluable service rendered by Sri Lanka Army for the freedom and betterment of the country, People's Bank recently launched 'Viru Abimana' Housing Loan Scheme for members of Sri Lanka Army. The agreement signifying the partnership was exchanged by General Shavendra Silva, Chief of Defence Staff and Commander of the Army and People’s Bank Chairman Sujeewa Rajapakse at the Army Headquarters in Sri Jayawardenapura recently.
Under this loan scheme which is offered at a special concessionary rate, the maximum loan amount can be determined based on the monthly salary of the Army member while the repayment period is calculated based on the time till retirement. These loans can be obtained up to a maximum repayment period of 25 years.
In addition, customers will be able to conduct most of their banking from practically anywhere with the Bank’s state-of-the-art digital banking services including People's Wave' Mobile Banking App, People's Web Internet Banking facility and People's Pay Digital Wallet App.
