Kaushi joined the fashion industry at a very tender age. Today she is a graduate in fashion design as well as psychology. Completing a masters in psychology Kaushi was able to understand the psyche as well as the fashion trends needed for the modern Sri Lankan woman. Starting Kaushi's Bridal Boutique in 2012 she began creating exclusive bridal dresses for the market. The unique feature of these addresses was that the designs were manufactured and imported from Hong Kong.

With the unveiling of the online fashion store "Kaushis" she now embarks on a new journey to provide modern and sleek casual wear intended for the Sri Lankan market. Not only does she provide international quality casual garments for ladies through this venture she uplifts underprivileged women from the South of Sri Lanka. 

Her factory operates in a responsible social entrepreneurship model and employs close to 100 women which directly benefits 100 low income families. Along the value chain close to 500 families are benefited indirectly.
