Umariya Sinhawansa is a well-known young Sri Lankan artist who has composed and sung a wide range of songs. Her voice range and sinning skills are constantly appreciated by viewers. 

Firstly she was noticed for her work with popular duo Bathiya Jayakody and Santhush Weeraman.

Recently she made a new buzz in the media and internet by her performance in the TV programme “Ma Novana Mama” at Chanel Derana. There, the singers are allowed to sing songs from other artists and Umaria has done a wonderful job performing some songs from veteran artists. The programme is already popular for its fresh framework.

Umaria’s performance was well appreciated not only by regular fans but also it has attracted the attention of politicians as well.
