The Japanese Film Festival 2017 to be held from September 22-24 in Colombo. The festival will be launched on September 22 at 6.00pm at the National Film Corporation Theatre. The festival will be presented by the embassy of Japan and the Japan Foundation, in collaboration with the National Youth Services Council, the National Film Corporation of Sri Lanka and Ship for World Youth Alumni Association.

This year’s festival features Japanese rural life, away from the hustle and bustle of the city as well as the natural beauty of Japan. The four films to be screened have received high acclaims in film festivals both in Japan and internationally. Admission to the theatre is free of charge.
