Iranian film 'Being Born' (Be Donya Amadan) directed by Mohsen Abdolvahab  is scheduled to be screened at Iran Cultural Center - Colombo (6, Sir Ernest de Silva Mawatha, Colombo) on 2nd November 2017 at 04.00pm. There will also be a discussion regarding the movie.

'Being Born' is about a movie director and his actress wife (Pari and Farhad) who find out that they are pregnant with their second child. Struggling financially, Farhad insists on abortion but Pari believes the abortion is inhuman and cannot accept her husband’s idea, thus domestic tensions rise. The cast includes; Hedayat Hashemi, Elham Korda, Sepahrad Farzami, Reza Mortazavi and Behnaz Jafari. The movie deals with the issues of abortion, freedom and censorship.

Mohsen Abdolvahab has received national and international awards for his cinematic work inclusing ‘Do not Disturb’ (2010).
