In celebration of the 40th anniversary of diplomatic ties between Korea and Sri Lanka, the Embassy of the Republic of Korea in Sri Lanka is organizing a variety of programs for ‘Korea Week’ from 13th to 20th November 2017. As a part of the festivities a film festival will be held at the National Film Corporation from 17th to 20th November. The Korean Film Festival is hosted for the fourth time by the Korean Embassy, offers a well selected range of Korean films that have broad appeals for Sri Lankan audience and to strengthen the cultural ties between South Korea and Sri Lanka.

My Brilliant Life: on November 17 at 4.30 p.m.
- Story of immature and clumsy parents of a son who is diagnosed with an extremely rare genetic disorder called ‘progeria’, which causes him to age prematurely.
The Thieves: on 18 November at 2:00 p.m.
-The action comedy starring Jun Ji-hyun, is currently the fifth highest-grossing movie in Korean film history.
The Suspect: on 18 November at 5:30 p.m.
-Spy-action thriller film starring Gong Yoo about a top Special Forces agent becomes the prime suspect in a murder case.
The King of Jokgu: on 19 November at 2:00 p.m.
-An award winning independent sports comedy film about Jokgu, a Korean sport which combines aspects of association football and volleyball.
Very Ordinary Couple: on 19 November at 5:30 p.m.
- A recently separated couple who, being employees at the same bank, must deal with the prospect of continually seeing each other on a daily basis.
My Paparotti: on 20 November at 5:30 p.m.
- Focuses on the special relationship between a high school gangster and a music teacher who helps him pursue his dream of becoming a singer and is based on the real-life story of Kim Ho-joong who pursues his dream of becoming a singer under challenging circumstances.
